New way to lose weight: Think thin

Thinking that you're thin might actually make you lose weight!Hypnotism can help you shed those extra pounds.

According to the Daily Mail, in a successful clinic in Spain, hypnotherapists Martin and Marion Shirran are using a combination of hypnotism and an educational program to help patients lose weight without having an operation.

The Shirrans, in their new book, 'Shirrans' Solution: The Gastric Mind Band,' describe the technique they say convinces users their tummies have shrunk - and that they must eat less, reports the New York Daily News.

The program called 'gastric mind band,' uses hypnotherapy to put their patients through the process of getting a virtual gastric band - right down to the hospital sound effects and smells.

Apparently, the point is to make patients think and feel like they've actually had the banding surgery. In a gastric band surgery, the banded stomach is reduced to the point where the most the patient can consume per meal is about six tablespoons of food, compared to a typical meal that would measure the size of two clenched fists.

The Shirrans expand upon the ideas they say have helped their clients.

Women get wilder in the bedroom

A section of British women are having far wilder sex than they did a year ago and 76 percent of women contacted in a survey admitted using pornography. The survey published by the Sun, however, shows that three quarters of women were having less sex than a year back. But when they made love it was far wilder.

Around 76 percent of women admitted to using pornography - a ten percent rise on the two-thirds who admitted to watching pornography with their partners in a survey last year.

The survey of 4,200 women also revealed four in five women like to dress up for their other halves and indulge in role play, the media report said.

The most popular outfit is of a French maid that is used by 42 percent, followed by a nurse's outfit selected by a quarter of women. Sixteen percent of the couples preferred policewomen's uniforms.

Siobhan Freegard, the founder of Netmums, said that women "have busy family lives and careers to juggle. So while they might not be having as much sex as they'd like, they want to ensure they make the most of the precious time they do get.

"Our survey shows they are taking control in the bedroom." "They know what to do to get their sex lives back on track and are not afraid to experiment and introduce new methods to spice things up," she was quoted as saying.

Online pornography is a popular format and is watched by 61 percent of the couples. More than half of the women surveyed used sex toys in the bedroom.

Test your love

A love test designed by scientists can tell what the chances are of a relationship being a success.

Researchers have used the quiz to predict the outcome of whether more than 50 couples would split up over a 12 month period.

The test uses a psychological technique to discover what people really think of their partners by how easy they find it to associate them with positive or negative words.

If someone found it easier to automatically associate pleasant words with their better half, the scientists discovered they had a stronger relationship and were more likely to stay together, reports the Telegraph.

However "relationship decay" could still kick in and increase the latent "break up risk".

Of the 116 people who took part, 19 split up from their partners, equivalent to 16 percent, the figure predicted by the team of researchers from the University of Rochester in the US.

Study author Ronald Rogge said: "What really excited me in our results was that our measure seemed to do a better job of predicting outcomes than what the people told us about their relationships.

"People who exhibited negative feelings to their partners were about seven times more likely to break up over the next year."

For this test, the volunteers were asked to fill in a questionnaire about their relationship as well as undergo the word association test.

Previous studies of relationships have found it difficult to find out how much someone is satisfied in their relationship because people will tell scientists different things to how they are really feeling.

However, scientists believe their new test, using word association and a time limit, gave them a true reflection of the participant's feelings.

RGV and his histrionics are famous with media and audiences. During one of the Rakht Charitra press conference when Ramu was asked about the audience that may not turn to see too much of violence in the film, he answered in a cocky air.

He said, “There are different types of audience. Many of whom are not restricted to genres. Rakht Charitra is a film not for women so they can sit at home if they think there is too much of violence.”

He added, “Though I know many women are very violent and men who are sissy. We therefore can’t distinguish categorically on genre or sex.”

Illicit affair turns fatal

Police investigating the case of Malarvizhi, a housewife who was brutally murdered in her BTM Layout II Stage residence on Monday, confirmed that the 25-year-old woman had a physical relationship with the accused. They, however, did not rule out the possibility of rape.

Malarvizhi and Balasubramanyam tied the knot just two months ago on August 20 and the couple had in the first week of September moved to the city and had rented out a house in SMS Residency in BTM Layout.

The incident occurred when Malarvizhi was home alone and her husband, an employee at Capgemini, was at his workplace. Preliminary investigations have revealed that the accused was known to the victim as she had offered him a glass of butter milk and since the main door of the house was not broken into.

Prior to her marriage with Balasubramanyam, Malarvizhi was employed with TVS Ltd in the city. She had later returned to her hometown Tirunelvelli as she wanted to pursue her higher studies.
However, on her parents' insistence, she had agreed to get married. Police suspect that she was in a relationship with a boy in her hometown, before her marriage.

Two gift items, a Ganesha idol and a heart-shaped showpiece, found at the crime scene, strengthened the cops' argument that the incident was the result of a past love affair gone sour.
Among the clues the police have gathered from the crime scene was a broken glass piece with which the accused had slit the woman's throat. The murder weapon with blood stains was derived from a glass in the hall area which was found broken, experts confirmed.

Deputy commissioner of police (south-east division) BNS Reddy said that evidence strongly pointed to the involvement of a person known to the victim. Investigators were trying to find out when and where the gifts were purchased. A team of investigators have left to Tirunelvelli. "The forensic experts have collected vital clues in connection with the crime but would not like to discuss them right now. We shall crackdown on the criminal very soon," Reddy said.
