Government primary school, Poterlane celebrated pre-teachers day cum 25th Teachers’ in-charge anniversary of Kikruneiü Kire today here at hotel Japfu.
DEO cum District Coordinator DMA (SSA) Kohima, Zaveyi Nyekha graced the celebration as the resource person. Congratulating Kikruneiü Kire for attaining 25 years in service, Nyekha said the students and colony has gained in many ways through her contribution. He also encouraged Kire to explore the rest of the 10 years service, planning and refining the educational system and to be a role model for the students and the Nagas. The DEO maintained that the 25th anniversary programme will be maintained in DEO’s office for record.
Nyekha urged the students to be discipline and maintain proper timing for studies while also to abstain from indulging in bad habits. Sharing her experience and aspirations, Kikruneiü Kire said her achievements have been through with the support of the students and teachers whom she considers the school as her home and teachers as her family. She said her concern for school made her to decline promotion in the year 2004 and called upon, to work together as team, family and to give best education to the students.
The programme was marked by songs, dances, presentation, voluntary speech by the students and greeting by Ward education committee (WEC) chairman.
