At the moment, Indonesia is a "land of disasters" as 154 people were killed in Tsunami which swept many villages completely from map. Two days ago , Tsunami hit the Western of Indonesia , there were over 3 meters waves observed and lots of property were damaged, loss of lives raised to 154 while 400 people are still missing. Tsunami was the resulted in a powerful 7.7 magnitude earthquake. the other hand , the most volatile volcano "Mount Merapi" erupted in Indonesia.The volcano eruption that spewed clouds of searing ash, killing at least 29 people, including a journalist. Mount Merapi is translated as "Fire and it has erupted many times often with deadly results.In 1994, 60 people were killed, while in 1930, it killed over 1,300 people.

Rescue officials kept away for days because of stormy seas and bad weather had started arriving at the remote Mentawai islands off western Sumatra to chart the scope of the devastation after Monday’s 10 foot (3-meter) wave triggered by a massive quake struck the islands. At least 311 people died, hundreds were still missing, and 20,000 people were displaced, said Ade Edward a government disaster official.
Swollen corpses littered on roads and beaches as masked rescuers wrapped the dead in black body bags. Huge areas of land remained underwater and houses lay crumpled with tires and slabs of concrete piled up on the surrounding sand.
Meantime, Mount Merapi volcano about 800 miles (1,300 kilometers) to the east in central Java, was momentarily quiet but still a threat after Tuesday's eruption that sent searing ash clouds into the air, killing at least 33 people and injuring 17, including a revered elder who refused to leave his ceremonial post as caretaker of the mountain’s spirit, said Agustinus, a doctor at the local health department. A mass burial was planned for later Thursday.
