This year once again Kite festival is back in Singapore which is on this coming weekend on 18 September and 19 September 2010. From 4pm to 8pm check out the Kite Flying Days at The Promontory@Marina Bay. It is going to be bigger this year. To renew the old kampong spirit and celebrate the kite as a symbol of grace, cultural diversity and scientific achievements is the aim of The NTUC Income Kite Festival Singapore 2010.
The NTUC Income Kite Festival Singapore 2010 is a superb platform that captures the essence of kite and kite flying and also thrilling platform for people of all ages and all walks of life. Three key segments are integrated in this festival which takes place from May to September 2010.
First, to enhance young minds and souls through the world of kites, the opening Kite Education Programme for Schools which kick started the festival from 17 to 27 May 2010. Second, started from 30 July to 10 September, the Kite festival Singapore Road Show and Exhibition for the public in malls island wide. Third, Kite Flying Days on 18 and19 September 2010 a large scale weekend show of activities and performances, featuring activities that are centered on kite education, kite making and kite flying.
A festive atmosphere can be look ahead that is enhanced with performances from musicians; dancers; puppeteers; and magicians; kite making workshops; and exciting performances by 10 international kite-masters from Thailand; Switzerland; Japan; Malaysia; and the US which is 8 more than last year.
