Drummer Chad Smith, of Chickenfoot, has hand picked Kenny Aronoff to replace him for Chickenfoot’s tour to support the release of their new album Chickenfoot III which will be released on September 26th. Looks as though money’s tight around the Smith household so he’s going to go to his “day job” and make some cash. Aronoff has worked with the likes of Smashing Pumpkins, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Cinderella, Stryper, Tony Iommi and The Rolling Stones. Sounds like this dude, Chad, is perfectly qualified to handle the job. Is it just me or does Chad Smith look an awful lot like Will Farrell
Frontman Sammy Hagar is digging the pick and he had this to say:
“Chad picked him because he said Kenny’s just like him. He beats his drum set to death. He doesn’t play them. He beats them to death.
